In the Shadow of Mt. Kanchenjanga -
Goche La Trek with Jamling

Nestled high up in the Himalayas,
flanked by Bhutan in the East, Nepal in the
West and Tibet to the North, lies the Jewel
like province of Sikkim, bestowed with a
wealth of exquisite beauty and magical
mysticism. Sikkim has over 15 mountains that
above 20,000 feet, the World’s third tallest
mountain Kanchenjunga (28,168ft) stands
majestically in westerns Sikkim surrounded
by Pandim, Ratong, Siniolchu, Koktang,
Talung, Khanglakhang and Kabru all of which
are over 20,000ft. For those enchanted by
the flora, Sikkim boasts of its 4,000 exotic
variety of plant species; 46 varieties of
the worlds’ famous Rhododendrons, 600 to a
1000 species of Orchid’s.
If it’s the culture and customs of the
Himalayan region that fascinates you, the
164 Monasteries within Sikkim reflects the
devotion of the people to preserve and
maintain their culture, in a world that
changes rapidly around them.
In this tiny province of India one can get
from sub tropical heat of the lower valleys
to the snow clad Himalayan massifs within a
few days, hiking along fast flowing rivers,
terraced hills, lush valleys, to the high

Itinerary |
Day 1: Arrive Darjeeling from
Kathmandu/ Delhi/ Calcutta.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing.
Day 3: Drive from Darjeeling to
Pemayangtse.
Day 4: Pemaynagtse sightseeing then
drive to Yoksum.
Day 5: Begin Trek: Yoksum to Bakkim.
Day 6: Bakkim to Dzongri.
Day 7: Dzongri Rest Day.
Day 8: Dzongri to Thangsing.
Day 9: Thangsing to Lumaney.
Day 10: Lumaney to Gochela and back
to Thangsing.
Day 11: Thangsing to Bakkim.
Day 12: Bakkim to Yoksum (End Trek).
Day 13: Drive from Yoksum to
Darjeeling.
Day 14: Drive from Kalimpong to
Bagdogra Airport/ Bhadrapur. |
